One of the most overlooked recent announcements was that of the “Nasdaq Dubai Growth Market” — which is dedicated to companies valued at less than $250Mn with only 1 year of audited accounting history. a monumental advancement in developing our financial infrastructures
This market was devised in such a way that owners can sell only 25% of their equity to raise capital, and maintain an overwhelming controlling interest while still benefiting from the advantages of an IPO.
Above all else, what I think is going to be one of the better transitory policies is the ability to join the Private market segment of this new exchange, as a means for unsure private companies to gain the confidence of Nasdaq Dubai before committing to an IPO.
I seriously urge any representative of a well-managed SME in Dubai to seriously consider this as a ready-made method to expand and raise capital, as well as have the potential to be among the first listings early next year.
