Except, the islands were transferred to Burma by the British in 1882, 7 years before Nehru was born. Burma was separated from India (both were British colonies) by the British in 1937, 10 years before India became independent and Nehru got any say in its affairs. https://twitter.com/janmajit007/status/1329059544215896065

These claims, that Nehru "gave away" Coco Islands to Burma, have all come from the usual suspects. I'll be sharing their screenshots here. Do notice the links in these screenshots. 1) @OpIndia_com:
2) The Frustrated Indian ( @FrustIndian):
3) Postcard News ( @postcard_news):
If you notice, Op India refers to an article in a 1999 issue of @thetribunechd and links to it. Frustrated Indian (funny name) refers to some "report dated June 13, 1947" but links to the same Tribune article. Postcard refers to the same "report" but doesn't bother linking.
Here's the Tribune article they all source their claim from. Same "report dated June 13, 1947" referenced here, but no link to it. In fact, the entire piece doesn't link to any primary source. Where IS this so called report!?

Anyway, even the article doesn't say anywhere that Coco Islands were not under British Burma at the time of India's independence. The entire "report dated June 13, 1947" revolves around the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which were already under British India.
