I honestly think this is one of the decarbonisation fails we will come to regret the most. 14 years later and we're still adding buildings to the mix which will need costly retrofits in the future.

Decarbonisation of heat is hard. The first step is going to be raising quality of existing building stock. This is huge challenge. And that challenge is magnified by failures like this. And it's ultimately the people who buy these houses that will be asked to foot the bill.
