I feel like I’ve done a decent job investing in a personal finance sense, Personal finance is like budgeting for your natural lifespan, it’s finite and you can expect to spend less as you get older, if you want to fund an organization: investing to

create an endowment-like entity is more challenging. The funding need is consistent and growing (inflation, etc). The better the performance the bigger the impact.

I see a lot of comments like:

“lol b*TCH when you hit the wall at age 30 you won’t be able to make more $$ haha”

I don’t think they understand. I live a simple life. I don’t really care for nice cars (I complimented this guys’ bmw a long time ago and he told me it’s a Cadillac fml)

I hate high fashion/luxury brands and I use to buy all my clothes from Walmart. I just want to be able to get guacamole on my burritos bowl at @ChipotleTweets and I’m happy.

If I was working solely for personal enrichment I’d prob be done. I mean I

bought amazon in size in the $600s as my streaming career was taking off (after a long discussion regarding investments with @Byron ) and for a good while any funds I didn’t pour back into stream or living went there. Again I don’t have aspirations for nice shit. I grew up dirt

poor so it just feels weird and pretentious to me. Not judging you if you like that stuff but I’m sort of oblivious to it.

I’m super thankful to my community across all my platforms for being with me through the lean times thru current.

I only continue to work so hard because

I could prob do something right now out of my residence if I bought a house or a plot of land but I know myself pretty well and I’m kind of an all-in person. Organizationally I want to set up something to

Have some degree of permanence. Like I want to create an entity that I can personally backstop (in case something like COVID makes outside funding unviable), AND I want there to be a possibility if not the likelihood that it outlives me.

I want to have staff

so I can step away occasionally and focus on other projects too. I want to freedom to be able to, even tho I can’t think of anything else I’d want to do.

I do a lot of work thinking and researching stuff in and around these problems off stream...

For it to be able to outlive me I have to create a pool of investable, appreciable assets that a trust can draw down at a certain percent so it lasts nigh forever.
