Contrary to what the media claims, most men are in fact not privileged, & countless dudes are lonely & depressed, & they see themselves as unwanted. They lack confidence, yet for a myriad of reasons they don’t believe they can be open with those emotions, so it gets bottled up.
As anyone who has bottled up emotions knows, one can only do it for so long. Yet when men break down (or even cry) theyre treated as toxic monsters instead of sad individuals who need help. Their cries go unheard, which only leads to yet even more sadness, anger, & resentment.
These emotionally broken individuals then come online only to see constant anger directed their way, but not anger directed at them as individuals or for specific things they’ve done wrong, but anger directed at them based on a generalization of all men.
As they sit behind their computer screens battling depression, loneliness, & whatever else, they’re then called privileged. They know they’re not, so they disagree, yet doing so just results in more abuse & generalizations, & claims of toxicity. This creates further resentment.
The reality of our world is that most men by default aren’t privileged, nor are they toxic, in fact they’re treated like shit more often than not, then when they show emotion cuz of it, they’re written off as just men being men

It doesn’t take a genius to see where this is going
So, to all those always online internet feminists out there, maybe use today to STFU & to set your hypocrisy aside. International Men’s Day is about helping men find positive influences to improve their overall well being, & if you oppose that, well then youre a fucking fraud
You cannot cry about “toxic masculinity” while also lamenting a day built around helping men find positivity. So instead of endlessly talk shit, consider reevaluating how you contribute to the conditions you claim to want to fix

Anything less is merely a self fulfilling prophecy
