The BBC’s political editor and by far the most significant political journalist in the UK @bbclaurak writes that “When the report came out, Mr Corbyn suggested it had all been exaggerated.”

That’s completely untrue and yet another example of flagrant misreporting on this issue.

Here’s the relevant part of Corbyn’s post EHRC statement. He neither said the EHRC report, nor the issue of antisemitism in the Labour Party have been “all exaggerated”.

The inability of so much of our media to routinely deal with basic facts is maddening.

The EHRC report (page 27) specifically protects Labour members expressing opinions about “the scale of antisemitism within the Party”.
