It’s interesting how people are upset with Gov. Beshear about restrictions he has had to implement because of rising cases of CORONA infections and deaths. It’s not his fault. It’s because of a virus that we have no control over & because of people who refuse to follow basic

protocols & consequently put others at risk. In too many cases we are our own worse enemy. Wear a mask. Follow protocols. Take this virus seriously. And those who call themselves Christians but refuse to follow restrictions because of so called religious Liberty, as a

Christisn Pastor I, and the people I pastor, realize that to cooperate with the restrictions is an act of love rather than a violation of our liberty. And if you claim that to refuse to wear a mask or follow restrictions is an act of faith, as a man of faith my response is that

there is a difference between faith and foolishness. Compassion and consecrated common sense informs authentic faith. If we claim that Jesus died so that others could live, &Jesus is our savior, leader & Lord, & we are to have “the mind of Christ”, then as he died so that

others can live, we should die to our own selfishness & momentarily sacrifice our liberty for a moment so that others can live. Besides, Liberty is not the highest law, love is.
