Namjin: Opposites in Ideologies
Namjoon once said that when he first met Seokjin, he couldn't understand Seokjin's way of thinking. While predebut Nams was preoccupied with ambition, Seokjin's main focus was being 'happy.'
Now, Joon finds happiness in the smallest of things.

Yoonjin: Opposites in Volume
Externally, Seokjin is loud while Yoongi is quiet. Internally, Seokjin has an air of security, while initially (with Agust D-1), Yoongi was a ticking bomb of stifled & raw emotion.
Now? Yoongi is softer, unabashedly basking in Seokjin's comforts.

2Seok: Opposites in Execution
While both are masters of masks and are emotional stabilizers of BTS, their outward/inward personas contrasted initially. Hobi's seriousness was often masked by his cheerful front, while Jin's was the opposite. They grew out of their cages together.

Jinmin: Opposites in Manifestation
Seokjin has repeatedly mentioned that a portion of his personality is based on the principle of "Fake it til you Make It," while Jimin often spoke about needing perfection before he could deserve the praise.
But Jimin is freer now. Happier.

Taejin: Opposites in Growth
Upon debut, Tae had that hyper energy about him that little could decipher, but he grew into a sombre, cultured man with a love for the arts. Meanwhile, Jin started out cold, stoic, and quiet, but eventually expressed his large, spontaneous energy.

Jinkook: Opposites in Foundation
While seemingly similar, they are functionally different. Jungkook has always been earnest, read like an open book with his heart on his sleeve. But Jin is so multi-faceted with several doors, impossible to read with only a few glances.

Jinjin: A man who is everything at once
While many view him as an enigma, there's so much about him that we do know that it's naïve to say that he is one we know nothing about. Jin is a living, breathing paradox—Big yet small. Quiet but loud. Hard and Soft. Opposite of himself.

I made this thread bc it dawned on me that Jin is very different from the other members, yet he continues to be glue that binds them together.
The Bangtan dynamic is due to them using their differences to help each other grow for the better. There's nothing else quite like it.
