ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) are a great way to start your investing journey.

They do not require the attention to detail that individual stocks do

They lessen risk and they diversify your portfolio from the start

Let me walk you through a few I like

ETF THREAD👇👇👇
1/

"S&P 500 ETF"

Investing in an S&P 500 ETF is always the advice I give new investors every time they ask where they should invest first

This is due to the fact that an investment in an S&P 500 ETF is partial investments in 500 of the largest companies in the US
2/

There are plenty of ETFs that track the S&P 500 such as $SPY, $VOO, but the one I use is $IVV

Here are the top 10 holdings

$AAPL
$MSFT
$AMZN
$FB
$GOOG
$GOOGL
$BRK.B
$JNJ
$PG
$NVDA

This ETF will mirror the S&P 500 index and is a low cost fund

"High-Yield ETF"

The great thing about ETFs is the fact that they come in all shapes and sizes. They can be narrow focused or broadly focused.

Some focus on sectors, some on mkt cap, some are total market ETFs, you have 1,000s of options
4/

I cannot be a Dividend Seeker without discussing my High-Yield ETFs.

My HY Dividend ETF is $VYM. The ETF has a dividend yield of 3.2%

Here are the top 10 positions

$JNJ
$PG
$JPM
$VZ
$PFE
$WMT
$T
$CMCSA
$MRK
$INTC

"Dividend Growth"

As I mentioned, you can find an ETF for just about anything. The next ETF I am going to discuss is one that focuses on Dividend Growth stocks

Dividend Growth is a big portion of my portfolio both from an ETF perspective but also individual stocks
6/

Dividend growth stocks tend to give investors a little bit of both worlds. These stocks are still growing at a solid clip, which allows them capital appreciation growth by way of higher stock prices, but they also pay growing dividends
7/

If you have followed me for awhile now, then you know the importance of Dividend Growth and how it can be powerful when combined with the power of compounding dividends

The ETF I own for Dividend Growth is $DGRO. This ETF has a dividend yield of 2.3%
8/

Here is a look at the Top 10 positions in $DGRO

$MSFT
$JPM
$VZ
$AAPL
$JNJ
$CVX
$PFE
$PG
$HD
$KO

"Technology ETF"

How could we do a thread and not discuss technology. As you can imagine, this ETF is strictly focused on holding Technology stocks. You still get a 1.1% dividend yield, but not much, you are more looking for capital appreciation here
10/

My Tech ETF is $VGT

Here are the top 10 positions

$AAPL
$MSFT
$NVDA
$V
$MA
$ADBE
$CRM
$PYPL
$INTC
$CSCO
