1/22 The @socialistcam think that while the recommendations of the @EHRC report into @UKLabour antisemitism should be implemented, it was wrong to withdraw the whip from @jeremycorbyn despite his rejecting findings of the report.
A thread on those SCG members.
During a hustings debate @TahirAliMP claimed that Lehman Brothers were using the Daily Telegraph to attack Labour over antisemitism, while ignoring racism in the Conservative Party. Lehman Brothers do not own the Telegraph (the Barclays Brothers do). https://antisemitism.org/politics/labour/tahir-ali/
@ApsanaBegumMP shared this facebook post claiming that the ruling House of Saud of Saudi Arabia were crossing the red line, inspired by their zionist masters!'
@_OliviaBlake hired Sam Browse as her parliamentary assistant, despite his fervent support for Chris Williamson.Browse criticised the party's adoption of the IHRA, called Williamson a 'hero', and said those who supported his suspension (he was later expelled) should 'fuck off'.
@IanLaveryMP used the rather circular logic, when addressing a PLP meeting, that Labour could not be an 'institutionally antisemitic party', because he would not be in a racist party. The Party has since found to have illegally discriminated against Jews. https://order-order.com/2019/02/19/ian-laverys-racism-blind-spot/
@KateOsborneMP also praised the interview with Maxine Peake in which the actor espoused an antisemitic conspiracy theory (although unlike Rebecca Long-Bailey, Osborne deleted her tweet).
There is no reason whatsoever why anyone should be at all interested in what these people think about Labour and antisemitism, when they presided over - and contributed to - the Party's institutional racism. Indeed, they should be nowhere near a reputable political party.
