most people have been experiencing dogshit engagment on their tweets

today especially compared to the previous era when only the brazilianos had fleets

I don't vote for joe biden so I don't work at twitter and I don't actually know exactly how the algo works

Lets look at the factors that changed last couple days

Fleets got added to USA
Immediately almost everyone starts using them

also libs seem to think election is over, lol

Twitter started adding likes in timeline again
and
shud stopped supressing rts, most likely not tho

Personally noticed tweets are getting nowhere near prefleets levels of engagement in first 15 minutes

the few that do tend to do well or even better

that said, overall almost all my tweets are dying out way quicker

aka the algorithm done pushing them to timelines much sooner

Also in tests have noticed accounts that haven't posted fleets are doing worse than those that did

especially the ones that post tweets to fleets

1. With fleets, for now, people are able to finally see the content of the accounts they followed, and thus less time is spent scrolling on timeline.

Decreased scrolling means decreased taffic on X amount of people liked tweet and tweets from >15 mins ago

2. Also like any social media app, twitter wants to get users on new features, and is most likely rewarding users with higher algo pushes for posting fleets.

The brazilianos barely used fleets and twitter is probably trying to prevent this with usa users

3. Twitter added the option to share tweets to fleets, yes this looks spammy and sucks, but less traffic is worse

for most, we are on here to make money not try to be popular to make up for high school

therefore if you want max engagment on your tweets, post to fleets immediately, just like IG story and feed posts, but with a question to spark comments on tweets since can't tap to go to tweet

if tweet is banging, delete fleet post again once engagement slows a bit

4. Twitter seems to be finally wanting to make some money now, so they may have used fleets as excuse to "update" algo aka less likes for most people to get more people buying native promo

that said don't buy twitter native ads, ROI is still gonna be worse than wearing a condom

5. Twitter has also been cutting likes off tweets today, from Based Bolsonaro's thicc meme to GBH tweets, they will claim this is a coding error

its not a coding error, they are experimenting with suppressing free speech even more

Don't spam tweets in fleets, but put the best ones on there in first 15 mins each day

also post high quality content on fleets

if tweet sucks in first 15 minutes, delete and post again

rt/like your own tweets 15 mins after posted for boost

stay calm and wait for twitter announcement in couple of days about accidental coding error

start building audiences off twitter so you aren't at one algo's mercy

and most important

remember twitter is dumb and should never be taken seriously, don't lose sleep over bird app
