Imagine being an 18-20 year old, living far from home in a strict & isolated environment in MHK.
The presumed college+campus lifestyle you imagined is non-existent and showing little sign of improving. You have schoolwork and football and the four walls of your room/house.
⬇️
Couple that with the fact you might not be playing much (if at all) when it counts -- possibly your own fault, but who's willing to admit that?
Now, there's this light at the end of a tunnel known as the NCAA Transfer Portal and it says leave now without future penalty.
⬇️
It's a chance to get out and maybe get closer to home, find a fresh start somewhere that might have immediate playing time, and not lose any eligibility in the process.

Not so bad, huh?

Welcome to the year of the transfer in college football.

And it's happening everywhere.
