the weirdest thing about modern zionist/antizionist discourse is that no one agrees on what the definition of zionism is, so instead of talking about the issues within zionism ppl are often stuck in a loop about just screaming our own definitions of zionism at each other
and honestly i find this so useless because we dont live in a pre-zionist world. we live in a world where zionism, however the fuck you define it, is in action right now and has been used to oppress palestinian people for 70+ years. its not just an intellectual debate anymore.
i dont care about what the definition is. i dont care if you define it as jewish self determination or whatever. its 2020, i care about what zionism is doing right now. and right now zionism is continuing annexation and apartheid. that should be ur main focus.
some of you have this mindset where you think by describing whatever you want zionism to be will somehow undo the horrible crimes that zionism has been doing to palestinian people since 1948. i get that, i’ve been there. and im begging u to snap out of it.
