A thread: I want to discuss about places that really deserve to survive to what I'm calling the "post-pandemic era." Back in May, it seemed bad enough, but now it's worse. #PPESpend is born of the idea that Covid has been going on so long, we have no relief coming and so, better or worse, it's up to consumers to build what the post-pandemic era looks like.
I, personally, want to actively support places taking the best care of the community.

I want every place I love to survive. But if a place I love here in PDX isn't caring for the wider community as well as another place that is? I want to "vote with my dollar" and support the more caring place. And #PPESpend can help me do it. And you too.

My second #PPESpend place is my work, @FHSteinbart. Yes, it benefits me financially if they survive. But I'm a lot less worried about *me* making it to the post-pandemic era with their #PPERetail policies. Esp closing to in-store traffic early. And they ship! #PPEShip
My third #PPESpend is @HungryTigerPDX. This #PPEBar has not only been cautious about closings and openings, they've been extremely open with customers about WHY they are making choices that may differ from other bars & restos.
One more #PPESpend, for now, is @CoopersHallPDX. They, more than any other spot I'm mentioning, inspired this. They closed early. They let staff know what's up. They've installed barriers and worked on ventilation. They #PPEShip, so consider them for #PPEWine.
