Our ( @AspenFSP 4 principles guiding our work for the next 5 years)
Principle #1: We all have a role in addressing financial insecurity. Financial Insecurity stems from a range of problems in a collection of interconnected systems, including, housing, education, labor markets, criminal justice, and healthcare—to name a few—and across
sectors.
Principle #2: We must confront the legacy of racism in the American economy by making racial justice an intentional goal of financial security.
Principle #3: People experiencing financial insecurity must have power and influence over the policies & products impacting them. This means positioning impacted people as essential stakeholders driving this process, rather than the passive recipients of policy & product design
Principle #4: We must repair multiple, interconnected systems if we are to secure the financial future of all people living in America. Nearly all structures and systems in American life can either support or damage people’s financial security.
