On a call with the Oregon Department of Education this morning. Some key highlights:

2. “To preserve the integrity of the Contact tracing program” they are switching to a “community and personal responsibility based model of contact tracing” because there are not enough tracers for the current outbreak.

3. Schools are upset that the state has made rules about travel but them put the enforcement of some quarantine measures after travel onto schools relying on the schools to exclude students or staff with no particular guidance about how that should work.
4. ODE doesn’t have a list of (public and private) schools that are open in Portland. There is a list for the whole state but not by county or city.
