The "biologization" of religious belief, as if it were something that could be "cured" or "inoculated against," strikes me as more materialistic than anything the most strident atheist claims. What's funny about this is that John Locke in the 1689 Letter Concerning Toleration talks explicitly about how religion *does not work* materially like a medicine. "I may be cured of some disease by remedies that I have not faith in. I cannot be saved by a religion I distrust."
