Since @AsifaAkhtar1 and @Feli_Bas summarized the science already , I am keeping it with a personal thread through our revision process from initial Submission to Publication - so proud of this work! https://www.nature.com/articles/s41586-020-2935-z
3. June 2019 - My wedding anniversary - I am spending it @imbmainz to attend GL interview.
16. June 2019 - WTH!!! Job offer!!!!!!!
4. Sept 2019 - The first attempt to kill the paper (or better me) - by a pig - unsuccessful. Btw the (male)
died.

12. December 2019 - @AsifaAkhtar1 @mpi_ie Xmas party. Guess who was the DJ in our 80ies themed party
?

24. December 2019 - the X chromosome follows me even to Thailand and my Xmas breakfast on the beach.
19. Jan 2020 - Resubmission of the revised manuscript. For the moment @Feli_Bas and myself are still smiling
most of the experiments Rev1-3 had asked we could provide. Nevertheless a Reviewer#4 was added.

4. February 2020 - @IPPMainz PhD selection. Trying to seduce @agata_kalita to join our group (successfully
)

17. April 2020 - a move (we resubmitted on 16. April, now I am just wondering when did I pack the boxes
)

4. May 2020 - Starting the lab @imbmainz with this awesome group of scientists.
11. May 2020 - Baby 1 @Feli_Bas
June - July 2020 - some rebuttals (forgot to count). Meanwhile trying to setup a lab without @Feli_Bas around. Amazing help by @JBarau and group provided.
28. July 2020 - the MIRACLE - #reviewer2 gave up ... and yes - this is real champagne. I hope my second half forgives me :)
August - November 2020 - postpartum for a paper ... or in other words: reformatting ... cutting 2/3 of the text ... organizing the XY party
And today our baby is online! Thanks to all the people who made it possible along this looooooong way and who jumped in at various stages to help us.
P.S. A big thanks to our reviewer#1 (?) @JustinMCrocker
for suggesting difficult, but really cool experiments. They were indeed fun to do
and I am glad they worked.
