I’ll start: Dr. Carla D’Antonio inspired my love of plant-soil interactions and restoration when I worked in her lab (full of women PhD students) as an undergrad. It was her idea to apply to a MS in South Africa, a trip with her that inspired our NSF that funded my second Postdoc
She is amazingly brilliant, hard working, and caring. She pushes her mentees and lifts them up. She creates an atmosphere of representation by filling her lab with women. She is the best!!!
