If you have started looking into Amazon it can be a bit intimidating at first.

How do these people know what items are worth selling?

The beauty of Amazon is the data us right at your fingertips.

Here is how you look:

The main keys to knowing if an item will be worth selling are:

Profitablity: Will it make money

Sales rank: How does it compare to other items on Amazon

Sale History: Does it have a history of selling and for a profitable price

Are you competing with Amazon
First make sure Amazon allows you to sell the item starting out you will have restrictions.

Then find if it is profitable.

This can be the easiest thing to find just by using the seller seller central app.

Once scanning an item you can instantly see if there is profit
Now that you know it will make money does it have a good sales rank.

Sales rank is the comparison to other items of the same category 1 being the best item.

The best way to know is see if an item is in the top 5% of its category.

Here is a chart: https://garlicpressseller.com/fba-sales/amazon-sales-rank-chart-2019-fba/
Now rank is a good indicator but can be screwed.

Rank fluctuates everytime it sells and other factors could make it look better or worse than it is.

Keepa ($20~ a month) allows you to see how often it sells, what it usually sells for and by whom. (Check vid below)
Last if Amazon is selling the item, more than likely you will not want to sell it as they tend not to share the buy box.(no sales)

Keepa will tell if they share!

This is for new items not for used as Amazon rarely sells used.

(Start in used items for less restrictions)
These are the keys I use to finding items to resell on Amazon.

Here is a step by step video as well to make the process look easier!
