The @SlushHQ fireside chat with @mikikuusi is one of the best lately. Some personal takeaways: 👇
1) Company culture: Sharing your responsibility with employees and create transparency in the teams no matter good or bad news

2) Key to a successful company: A great product and excellent execution. Define your market and what execution strategy works
3) Invest in talents: Look for people that are smart and capable of learning with relevant experiences. Create the right team mindset and trust your people
4) International expansion: What Wolt has done successfully is to combine "launcher" (people on the ground for market research and analysis) and "expansion support" (SWAT team for operational matters until launch). Consistency in practice and culture is important
5) What to look for in investors: Investors with track record in growing similar companies that share the same cultural and mindset. Also think ahead of time and look for investors that could provide what the company needs in 2-3 years of time
6) Future of retail and commerce: A hybrid channels with high degree of digitalization of local businesses (e.g. neighborhood restaurants). Expect to see consolidation of on both supplier and merchant sides
Bonus point - success of management: A CEO can be considered successful when herself becomes redundant to the company 🌟
