Garbage Day is always an adventure at our house! We got up at 6:30 & saw that garbage & recycling had BOTH been done already. I hadn't put out the green bin (compost) yet; we often do that in the A.M. to avoid attracting critters overnight. So we'd missed it (our own fault).

Jonathan was disappointed bc he'd missed all the fun. Then at 8 when we went out to wait for the bus, a garbage truck appeared. I ran over to ask if they could take our green bin. (They were doing someone else's route & didn't know ours was done already.) Turns out it was

Jonathan's buddy (who usu does recycling) & another worker; they gladly took our green bin stuff, & made another trip back up the street so Jon could call out to them & follow them to the corner. They both waved to him & greeted him. DAY. MADE.
