Nobody teaches us how to do these things, so I’m always curious about the variants in the way people do certain regular things
Here are some polls:
Here are some polls:
Do you usually shower facing the shower head, or with your back fo the shower head?
Do you sleep on your back, your side, or your stomach?
Do you sleep with a pillow between/under your knees?
How many pillows do you sleep with (not counting body pillows)
Do you fold your toilet paper like a fancy napkin, or do you ball it up like an animal (I do this, it’s me)
IF YOU HAVE GLASSES:
When they fall down, how to you push them back up?
When they fall down, how to you push them back up?
It’s cool because so much of this is informed by our own life experiences that shape these habits
Like, I notice that people who get glasses as adults tend to push their glasses up by the nose piece more “properly”, whereas people like me who’ve had glasses since they were 3 tend to just punch them back onto their face lmao
I haven’t changed from the way I did this as a kid

Even the sleeping—I notice a lot more people who’ve had surgery tend to adopt more ergonomic sleeping positions, because we’ve *had* to adjust to sleeping that way and then eventually can’t go back go sleeping differently lol
Or the shower thing!!! After top surgery, you can’t face the shower head for a while
And then it’s like “well I mean why would I face it now? I’ll get water in my face. I’ll just keep doing it this way”

ITS COOL OK ITS COOL HOW SIMILAR EXPERIENCED WILL FORM SIMILAR SEEMINGLY UNRELATED HABITS
More polls:
When you eat something, do you eat the best part first, or save the best part for the end?
When you use the bathroom, do you check the toilet seat for spiders first
When you put on bandaids, do you place the baindaid in position and THEN remove the paper from the sticky bits, or do you remove the paper bits FIRST and THEN place the bandaid?
Omg this one always causes such heated debate...
Ok, this isn’t a “back to front or front to back” debate. I want to know the point of access:
When you wipe after using the bathroom, do you go from between your legs, from under one side, or reach around the back?

Do you flip your pillow over to get The Cool Side™
Alright now next level:
Do you flip your comforter over to get the cool side?

I’m so sorry I can’t stop
WHEN YOU WRITE...
Do you have your paper laid out in front of you vertically, or horizontally? (See attached photos—POLL IN NEXT TWEET)

Do you write with your paper placed vertically, or horizontally?
When it’s hot at night, do you stick your leg out to cool it off or does that trigger an irrational fear response lmao
