On the latest episode of @ScreamsBehind there's a mention of being bugged by the "that doesn't count as horror" mentality and having just done a big chat about horror as a genre for work - 100% agree. The genre is INCREDIBLY BROAD and no one can gatekeep it!!!
Pt 2, as a kid, I was afraid of everything. couldn't even watch Scooby-Doo. As an adult that is hilarious, but it absolutely to me counts as horror because of its themes. It doesn't have to have adult themes to be spooky. If it did, RL Stine would be out of a job.
