THREAD: How the characters from The Wind in the Willows reacted to the Sainsbury's ad.
RATTY: Didn’t see what the issue with the ad was. When he realised it was just mad racists flipping out he went straight to Sainsburys and spent £30 even though he didn’t really need anything.

MOLE: Just wishes everyone would stop fighting and tweeted “I think everyone is making too big a deal of this on all sides” then deleted their Twitter account due to abuse (one person replied to them “racism is wrong end of”).
TOAD: Tweeted that he “wouldn’t be seen dead in Saino’s anyway lol!” then felt bad when he saw the advert and it was actually really nice. Later apologised for their tweet. Continues to do all grocery shopping at Fortnum & Masons.
CHIEF WEASEL: RT’d Lawrence Fox eight times in the space of two hours. Searched the term “Sainsbury’s advert” and quote tweeted anyone who liked it with “oo triggered snowflake”. Currently serving a 24 hour Twitter suspension for harassing Marcus Rashford.
BADGER: Made the “but the ALDI advert is a family of carrots!!” joke several hours after everyone else already did. Now just generally sick of it all.
