Since I still dabble covering the Wizards/NBA, I checked in with folks around the league on options at 9, the overall draft, Wizards stuff. Didn't end up writing anything for @TheAthleticDC, but I'll thread some insight from scouts and others here...
On USC big man Oneyka Okongwu. All the mocks have him going 9th to the Wizards, but don't buy the jersey just yet. Scouts, like this one, and others like him lots. Some rank him easily top 5 in 2020.
With Washington looking for defense and rim protection, what about Memphis' F Precious Achiuwa? I believe @FredKatz said there's some interest from the locals.

Kentucky G Tyrese Maxey wowed early as a freshman, and now is one of those prospects that falls somewhere in that 8-20 range. Eye of the beholder and such. Two scouts.

What about players folks like regardless of draft projection? In that context, Oregon G Payton Pritchard gets serious love. Two scouts here.
Round out the prospects with two grinders from Michigan State. PG Cassius Winston will play in the league for years. This scout loooves him some Xavier Tillman. Reminder: Washington has 9 and 37.

* One scout told me he doesn't get Deni Avdija close to top 5. I thought outlier, but saw @johnhollinger's big board drops Avdija outside top 15
