Deepavali-fireworks In scriptures (1/b)
Deepavali as a day having 2 different significance (1) related to "Pitru Shradha" (2) return of Victorious Rama to Ayodhya
As #TrueIndology given evidence of "उल्काहस्ते नरा ..." it has meaning showing the path by a मशाल = उल्का to "pitru"

Now comes to the point the celebration of Victorious Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya.
In Valmiki's Ramayan there is not even mention of Lighting lamps (diyas) specifically. the description of celebration are all inclusive.

Deepavali-fireworks In scriptures (1/h)
during Birth of Rama, Marriage of Sita there is no mention of descriptive celebration.
non-mentioning of words doesn't mean that there is no lighting. As the lighting Fire is the most essential part of every Hindu ritual since Vedic age.

Taiteriya Upanishad (600BC) clearly mentioned the artificial colorful fire works then Shukracharya (400AD). Surprisingly, Even In Ramayan Valmiki says, the Topa (तोप) were mounted on the Ayoudhya's skyscrapers tombs.

Celebrations are intrinsic part of religious activities where people got a chance to assimilate, share pleasure. This increases social cohesiveness. no Hindu scripture mentions celebrations illustrative as it is not a mere "History".
