I totally get the hate for Lars but birthday boy @KirkHammett is a bad ass lead guitarist and a perfect fit in the greatest metal band to roam the earth

The guitar solo on “Unforgiven” always gets me emotional, this is how birthday boy @KirkHammett came up with it I genuinely don’t get the hate for this guy, I love his playing
So many great guitar solo by birthday boy @KirkHammett both on some classic Metallica tracks like “One” “Fade to Black” and “Master of Puppets” but also on some deep tracks like “My Friend of Misery”, “Don’t Tread on Me”, “Dyers Eve”, “Judas Kiss”
Obviously Dave Mustaine is a legend but Metallica were so much better off with Kirk Hammett, you can’t have too many cooks in the kitchen and I just think his solos, although at times repetitive and very reliant on wah wah pedal, bring perfect balance to so many songs
