I think it’s interesting the coincidences found in the release of BTS’ singles this year. I imagine when they released Black Swan & ON, they meant to share with us their fears of losing their art in the far future while also saying they are ready for anything coming their way, +
+may it be their own dealings with rising fame or the obstacles placed in their way by an unfair industry. When they wrote these songs in mind, we can all agree that they did not think the biggest obstacle to their artistic path would be a pandemic. The fears of artistic loss?+
+Bring the pain on? I don’t think they prepared for what it means to suddenly not be able to perform live performances before fans, a loss & pain too great to bear. A live performance- once a reality now turned into a dream. And all of these are a result of things way beyond+
+their control. Life Goes On, & perhaps all of BE I believe, is not just their reaction to the pandemic, but I think it is also an extension of their earlier sentiments found in their earlier singles as well as MOTS7. What if you suddenly weren’t able to do what you were born to+
+do? When you said you were ready to take on any obstacle, did you really mean it? The way BTS continues to persevere despite the circumstances is pretty inspiring & maybe it’s bc they don’t sugarcoat the situation either. They have shared their frustrations & their new fears,+
+their once realities reverting back to what feels like far-away dreams. I think especially at this time where one can really feel helpless especially after making such bold statements as they did earlier, I think what comes to mind is what if instead of worrying what may+
+or may not come next, what if we simply be? Who knows what the future holds but the future will come- life will still go on.
