As the Government builds out the 10-point plan for a green industrial revolution, prominence must be given to curbing production of single-use materials as a means to reaching #netzero.

In 2018, plastic production was responsible for 2.7 million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions in the UK . This carbon footprint will increase substantially with the projected increase in consumption of plastics.
We need to see massive reform of the UK #recycling infrastructure and a clear plan for the proposed Deposit Return Scheme to increase the availability of recycled materials on the market alongside continued investment in design innovation that favours refill and reuse.
It's crucial we recognise the impact that the way we make and use products, and manage them at end of life, can have on the Government's ability to meet its net zero target. #climatechange
