I feel like there's a lot of misinformation out there about the role Zoos have in terms of conservation.
Dublin zoo alone is involved in 30+ conservation projects, breeding programmes and educational programmes that get people more in touch with nature...(1/4)

Zoos are not a place where animals where mistreated for our entertainment, but a safe haven for other wise endangered animals, and allows us to get closer to nature...(2/4)

Yes in the ideal world these animals would be free in natural habitats but, the unfortunate truth is that we have not made this a reality for them. A lot either don't have any habitat left or are too critically endangered to have a good chance of surviving in the wild...(3/4)

It would be horrible if Dublin Zoo were to close after almost 200 years open, and I hope they get all the help they need. (4/4)
