It's fascinating (if deeply disturbing) to see how corruption works in a UK concept. I'm accustomed to seeing it in developing countries, and essentially the mechanisms here are the same: cutting corners, doing favours, making money. https://twitter.com/LizDavidBarrett/status/1328994300621971459?s=20
And it's a good excuse to dig out a photo of the best blue plaque in Britain, which is stuck (with inadvertent honesty?) on the Barclays branch in Cambridge. That quote would make a pretty good title for my next book.
The report is here if you want the original. And, imo, this is the quote to stick on a blue plaque of tomorrow (perhaps it could be somewhere in Barnard Castle...)

What actually is the point of a @UKLabour party which, when handed evidence of proper indisputable official corruption, decides instead to dominate the media with an arcane procedural update on a personnel issue? FFS.
Anyway, let's be positive. Good job, @GoodLawProject, thanks for attempting to fill the void where the opposition party was supposed to be! https://twitter.com/GoodLawProject/status/1329095013117161473?s=20
