pronoun history for the unaware and the transphobes who need education !

if you think neopronouns are some new fad, or not even that but you just think they’re very new, they’re not ! the first set of neopronouns was made by Charles Crozat Converse. the set was thon/thons,
meaning ‘that one’. Converse coined this pronoun set in 1858. although not used often anymore, thon pronouns mark the early origin and history of neopronouns.

also, she/her pronouns were originally neopronouns too! the more recognized version was theo/theos at the time (at least
i think so? finding resources that back this up is a nightmare but I saw this somewhere recently. anyways-) until those over time just changed to she/her and that has been the more common version ever since. I’m not sure when this change took place or why but yeah.
so that is your pronoun history for today I hope it was educational/informative !! ✨
