Everyone should love the idea of #COVIDzero. The people who advocate it are trying to save lives, and save the economy too. But Ontario, and much of Canada, have already screwed the pandemic up too much to get there without too much pain, or a vaccine. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/2020/11/17/sadly-getting-to-covid-zero-now-is-too-far-to-reach-because-we-have-already-screwed-up-so-badly.html
I daydream about having parties at our house; of my kids playing with other kids, their shrieks of joy echoing in the house; of sitting at a restaurant or bar that's just the right amount of full, so you can get a table. I miss giving people fearless hugs. We'll get there again.
Great thread from a passionate, brilliant doctor that sums up lots of where we're at. I want to get to #COVIDzero for a lot of reasons. But I think we need to take the steps in the right direction to even get halfway there before we can go further. https://twitter.com/NathanStall/status/1328883702395498498?s=20
