"Protection from retaliation" is a hilarious addition to a list that starts with "accountability." https://twitter.com/QaaliHussein1/status/1269348196993531904
I said years and years ago: the basic premise of (critical) identity politics is "notice my identity when it's to my advantage; ignore it when it's not." It's just concocting and leveraging double standards out of whining about power dynamics from the past.
The correct thing here is that there really should be (real) accountability and transparency, and nobody should feel like they're subjected to unreasonable censure or reprisal, but the Woke interpret these things in the most ridiculous and self-serving manner possible.
Imagine if a relatively conservative or even if any evidence-based teacher came forward and spoke up about what's going on with Woke excesses in education and requested accountability and transparency for everything going on. Would that person face retaliation? LOL yes.
When they Woke say they want accountability, what they actually mean is that they want to be able to punish people who aren't Woke, who aren't meeting Woke demands, and who are accused of some trumped-up evil by the Woke. https://newdiscourses.com/tftw-accountable/
When the Woke say they want transparency, what they actually mean is that they want everything that disagrees with the Woke made visible so they can punish it.
When the Woke say they want no fear of retaliation, what they mean is that anyone who disagrees with them for any reason, especially firmly, shouldn't be allowed to do so, and that they should have further demands met if anyone, even an anonymous troll with 0 followers, is mean.
The way these things are accomplished in Woke activism is by completely undermining the (usually implicit) reasonable person standard by injecting the ideas of implicit bias and systemic power dynamics into everything. There are no reasonable people to the Woke.
Since no one is reasonable (everyone has biases) and systemic power is a social "reality" that goes against the Woke or their human shields/proxies/"bodies," only the Woke are allowed to set the standards, according to the Woke. Everyone else's bias is self-serving and oppressive
When the woke demand accountability, transparency, and a lack of unjust censure or reprisal for speaking up, this would be perfectly reasonable if we were playing on a field that accepted the idea of a relatively universal reasonable person. The Woke explicitly reject that idea.
People have to wise up really fast to the fact that essentially every significant or actionable word the Woke use, even in apparently plain English, either has two (or more) meanings that allow them equivocate or is fully reinterpreted through power dynamics in a Woke-biased way.
