Just sat through our Northampton school town fall meeting about moving from all-remote to hybrid next month.

First of all, big appreciation of the teachers. They're real heroes! Being super creative and thoughtful of how to balance different needs.

Parents' had a lot of "big feelings." Some parents are mad we're moving to in-person given the 2nd wave. Others would like to see more days of in-person.

People have different opinions about complicated issues!

Nice to see our school district offer 3 different models for parents to choose from that tries to balance between maximizing (1) synchronous learning and (2) continuity with current teacher.

I felt they did a good job in front this given that it's tricky.

Reopening decisions are made by a joint committee w/ reps from management & union, along w/ experts to go through the data; and the joint committee will be responsible for guidance on if and when to reverse or pause.

Overall, felt good to see good faith effort on a hard Q.
