Public Comment is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should stop what you are doing and watch @NedStaebler rip apart the Republicans in #WayneCounty on the Board of Canvassers for being racists who tried to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of Black voters in #Detroit .
. @RookRookey correctly calls the Boards' actions unconscionable.

She observed election workers performing well under extreme duress, most of which attributable to the actions of right wing agitators and election disruptors inside and outside the TCF Center in Detroit on E-Day.
Others agree:
More of the same story at TCF:
. @sarida1 makes it clear that this is not over.
👀 Y'all need to meet my new best friend, @GinivonCourter:
. @AbrahamAiyash is waiting on the certification so he can fill a State House seat. It currently stays vacant. He vows to fix the election laws if the vote is certified, but notes @MIGOP had 8 years of control of the state legislature and governor's office and did nothing.
He calls out really existing racism explicitly. Nice job, Rep. @AbrahamAiyash.

Kate Klaus is another attorney who is not happy with the outcome:
Canton Two Clerk Michael Siegrist makes clear some of the additional harm and absurdity of today's decision.

Canton Township cannot seat its new board.

Lakshmi is pissed off, but appreciates the work put in by poll workers.
Nour makes it clear this is about MI Republicans being salty over losing an election.
Trische Duckworth of Survivors Speak. She demands Monica returns to stand before the public she is disenfranchising.

Trische is a hella fantastic activist and has gotten plenty of racist electeds rightfully canned.
Great people:

WE DID IT!!!!!

THEY CERTIFIED THE VOTES!

They're asking for some sort of audit after the fact of unexplained discrepancies. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Also, they did this twice, the first time on mute, and came back already knowing what the vote outcome would be. Kind of shady.
Let's be clear, their phones were buzzing off the hook with Twitter notifications, and they were terrified.

Great job everyone! https://twitter.com/mel_thegreat/status/1328888703800905728?s=19
Bonus: Apparently, this has been a problem in Michigan that could have potentially happened anytime since it was noticed in 1877. 🤦🏽‍♂️
