The Ohio Craft Brewers Association understands the difficult position that Governor DeWine is in and appreciates that he evaluates feedback from the community when making decisions that will impact the lives of all Ohioans.

We agree that steps must be taken to curb the spread of the coronavirus and our breweries have led by example in instituting policies and cleaning procedures to do so.
3/8
A total shutdown of breweries, bars and restaurants would devastate our industry and economy. We believe the 21-day curfew is a reasonable compromise to help combat the spread of the virus.
4/8
Our small businesses – like many others around Ohio – are still experiencing significant negative economic effects and would welcome financial relief in the form of waived or deferred licensing fees and additional stimulus funding.
5/8
If further mitigation measures are deemed necessary, we would ask our elected officials to offer specific plans for relief funding to protect our businesses and their employees.
6/8
We encourage the state to increase enforcement against non-compliant businesses and other irresponsible actors who are accelerating the spread of the virus by not following pandemic protocols.
7/8
We continue to ask all those who support Ohio’s craft breweries to exercise personal responsibility, mask up in public and maintain physical distance to slow the spread of the virus.
