/5: It's day 3 of Bullying Awareness Week and day 5 of Trans Awareness Week!

Ontario has designated the week beginning on the third Sunday of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week (Nov 15-21, 2020) to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment.
/5: Bullying is a relationship problem that involves a power imbalance, which is why it can be so challenging to overcome it by ourselves. Regardless of where bullying happens – in school, the office, at home or in the community – there are people and resources that can help.
/5: 75% of trans youth report they feel unsafe at school. Studies show that their GPAs lower, and they are less likely to continue their education. While bullying from students is common, many report that they face discrimination from teachers and school administration as well.
/5: Nearly half of trans and nonbinary youth didn't receive wanted mental healthcare due to concerns related to 2SLGBTQ+ competence of providers in 2019. (SOURCES: http://transequality.org , The Trevor Project)
/5: If you are a 2SLGBTQ+ youth and are getting bullied or maybe you are wondering how to help someone who is getting bullied, our HelpLine is open from Sunday to Friday 4-9:30 PM EST. We are here for you!
