📚BOOK THREAD📚

I just finished “Permission to Screw Up” by Kristen Hadeed

Here are a few of the takeaways:

1) Nobody knows what they are doing all the time.

Don’t worry, just keep going.

If you can spell out your vision and pursue it, you will be just fine.

Probably.
👇
2) People with huge flaws can do great things if they are persistent and don’t give up.

Just because you have flaws doesn’t disqualify you from success.

Limiting yourself is the worst. Don’t engage in this behavior.
👇
3) Find people who compliment you.

No, not people who say nice things. People who are really good at the areas in your “flawed” category.

This is how you stabilize and take it to the next level.

Finding those people is key.
👇
4) Be honest. With yourself and those you work with and for.

It’s scary to be honest at first.

With honesty comes vulnerability.

People respond to vulnerability, though, in a way they wouldn’t otherwise.

Leverage this.
👇
5) Get your hands dirty.

If you want respect, you have to get in the trenches.

It doesn’t mean you have to do everything, it just means people respect someone who comes to their level to communicate.

Kill arrogance before it kills your ability to communicate effectively.
👇
Overall a decent little book.
