The life of Franck Ribéry, the man who turned Football into Art. [THREAD]
Franck Henry Pierre Ribéry was born on the 7th of April 1983, in Boulogne-sur-Mer. He was raised in a low-income neighbourhood outside the city. At two years old, he and his family had a car accident, colliding with a lorry, which left him with big scars on his face.
"In a certain way this accident helped me. As a child it motivated me. God gave me this difference. The scars are part of me, and people will just have to take me the way I am."

Before joining Stade Brestios in 2003,he worked as a construction worker, which he saw as a "lesson".
Ribéry began his career at 6 years old at FC Conti de Boulogne-sur-Mer. After a 7 year stay, he joined Lille, where he managed to put up surprising performances, but he also had disciplinary problems which forced him to leave.
He moved back to his hometown where he joined US Boulogne, where he made 4 appearances in his first season. He slowly progressed through the ranks and his performances led to his move to Olympique Alès, where he didn't last long.
Franck was dreaming of playing in Ligue 1 and that dream came true when Jean Fernandez took him to Metz as a free agent. He had amazing performances, but he then went to Galatasaray where he was brought in by Gheorghe Hagi himself.
At Galatasaray he quickly became a fan favourite where he was nicknamed "Ferraribery" due to his pace with the ball. He also won his first major trophy as a professional footballer in Turkey.
After winning his first trophy with Galatasaray he went back home, but this time to Marseille. It was a complicated move, where Galatasaray claimed him as a traitor and CAS had to be involved.
Following his stunning performances at the 2006 World Cup, Arsenal were very keen on the player and Real Madrid were interested in him as well. But Franck had other plans, so he decided to stay with the club for the 2006-2007 season.
Ribéry's presence became noticed very quickly and many people thought he was the one who would help Marseille win their first title since 1992. He had many setbacks with injuries that year but yet he was awarded as the French Player of the Year, ending Thierry Henry's reign.
On June 7th 2007, Bayern München announced the signing of Frank Ribéry on a €25 Million fee. He made his debut against Werder Bremen, scoring twice and assisting once.
"I hope he stays. For me, he's up there with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the best players in the world." -Franz Beckenbauer on Franck Ribéry.

Despite many interests from abroad, the club decided not to sell Ribéry seeing him as the club's future.
He has an amazing relationship with Louis van Gaal, the headcoach of the club at that time. Van Gaal also saw Franck's potential and he became one of his favourites.
That year Bayern made it to the UCL Final, losing to Inter Milan, but Franck decided to stay at the club.
The next season, Ribéry began having some issues with van Gaal due to his lack of effort "he didn't make any effort and showed no commitment"
Things began getting better for Ribéry as Bayern lost the 2012 DFB Pokal against Dortmund and the 2012 UCL Final against Chelsea, which Bayern lost in a penalty shootout.
But they didn't give up......
In 2013, with Ribéry entering his prime years, Bayern completed the treble with a win over Borussia Dortmund in the UCL Final. It was an istoric moment for the club and for the player, which many people believe he is worthy of the Ballon D'or.
In December, Bayern won the FIFA Club World Cup for the first time in history with Ribéry being the best player of the tournament. He then managed to place 3rd in the Ballon D'or behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Since then he has established himself as one of the best players of all time alongside his partner in crime, Arjen Robben, with whom he made up the iconic duo, "Robbéry".
Franck is also very religious, being devoted to Islam. Religion is what kept him strong along the years and he says that everything he accomplished is thanks to Allah.
In his 12 years at the club, he became known for his spectacular dribbling and for his explosive pace, but there's more than that to him.
"He is a jewel to French Football" -Zinedine Zidane
He made Bayern his Home, he treated the fans like Family, and he will always be Bavarian at Heart❤
