Thread: Credit where credit due to those in @LimerickCouncil responsible for newly installed lighting on waterfront.

Timeless, elegant and welcoming.

Strong argument for keeping these all year round #limerick
In fact over the past few years our city has seen an incredible move towards making our nightime vibe more welcoming

@LimerickStrand does a fine job
As does @HuntMuseum
The guys at Locke Burger brighten up a bridges walk
Some of our monuments are standing out (others like Treaty Stone in need of love)
Sarsfield Bridge is enhanced thanks to this
Council headquarters riverside facade tastefully lit
@KingJohnsCastle looks so well at night now thanks to work done by @ShannonHeritage
The @LmkCivicTrust building a stand-out also
Finally the lads at Treacys shop and cafe on Nicholas St might have been hit by Covid but their festive spirit brightens the heart

The street is so welcoming thanks to what they just unveiled
To summarise- Limerick has come on in leaps & bounds when it comes to how tasteful, elegant light is used.

Imagine if we focused now on how our city looks & feels by day

Place making/public realm can make huge impact on happiness & wellbeing of citizens

We are getting there
