require restaurants to take extra measures to try to reduce the spread of the virus.
He did this after reviewing contact tracing data for Niagara and finding that a number of cases were because people were socializing in restaurants outside of their small bubbles

No one, including Dr. Hirji, who is in a decision-making position, has said the restaurants were being lax in following protocols. Quite the opposite, actually.

All this to say that whether you agree with the Order or not, it is entirely inappropriate to subject Dr. Hirji - or ANYONE - to the abuse to which he has been

Calls for his home address to be found and released to the public, calls for someone to "suck the life out of him," namecalling, etc. are ALL AWFUL AND INAPPROPRIATE and anyone engaging in this kind of behaviour should be ashamed of themselves

Dr. Hirji, like the rest of the staff I have the pleasure of dealing with, is doing the best he can in a situation none of us have ever dealt with before and which continues to change all the time
