Student loan forgiveness would be great for me and my coworkers and friends. But it does nothing for the poorest people in this country who never even consider college to be an option.

I believe in student loan forgiveness and if it’s passed, jolly good for me. But it feels telling that the Biden admin would offer economic stimulus for college educated ppl instead of raising minimum wage, medical debt relief, etc

It feels like another way to moralize certain people’s poverty. Like well you were just trying to get an education to join the workforce, the reason you are poor was for a noble cause and forgivable. Idk it’s just not serving the poorest ppl who I want to prioritize
