Three questions to help you edit & make your writing valuable:

1. What else?
Provide enough information + context to make statements useful.

Example: "X% of teens use Facebook in X country, as compared to X%  WhatsApp usage", is more useful than, "X% teens use Facebook."
2. So what?
Find out if your target reader actually cares about the story/statistics/anecdotes you've mentioned.

Example: Marketers might care about trivia and history, but insurance experts? Just tell them the point.
3. How?
Ask this question until there's no longer room to ask it.

Example: Create a marketing plan. How? Do X, Y, and Z. How? Detailed breakdown of each step, or link to a relevant resource, or link to a relevant tool.
