This is a disturbing development. As @ChristineBohan & @ellenmcoyne have reported, Irish Conspiracy Theorists are increasingly turning to unconventional methods to spread their ideology. And this glossy full colour pamphlet suggests they've got a degree of financial backing. https://twitter.com/LindaOkaythen/status/1328675904202166272
The organisation behind it, claims to be based in Ireland, but a cursory check shows that the domain name is registered to Danesco Trading Limited, which appears to be a Cypriot based shell company.
I've been reliably informed that the leaflet was dropped in by an associate of Alistair Frederick Smith. Smith appears to be the head of the United People Party, (No, me either), which might explain his disastrous standing in the last GE.
(Of course @electionlit has a receipt) The UPP sound like a pretty standard direct democracy party but a cursory search of their website brings up the standard COVID-19 conspiracies, including a link to anti lockdown "barrister" Tracy O' Mahony's "mask exemption" form.
It's worth comparing these 2 leaflets. The 1st, from Alistair earlier this year, appears to be very crudely designed & cheaply produced. The 2nd is well-designed, & glossy. So, clearly this leaflet wasn't created by him.
Also, the United People Party uses an entirely different domain registry from Dissident Signposts, which would also suggest he's not the one behind this leaflet. I've finished this thread with more questions that answers. tbc...
And, that's about as far as I can dig into this RN Just going to tag in some journalists/heads who may be able to take this further.

Ok, doing a bit of a Columbo here but, I just had a look at the @ellenmcoyne piece that I mentioned up thread. Lo & behold the first person she profiles is a conspiracy theorist who sounds *remarkably* similar to Alistair...

Barely 5 months ago Alistair was actually wandering around Dublin having imaginary conversations on his mobile phone in the *hope* he could find a convert.

Now? He's got the funds & resources to distribute his Conspiracies across Dublin. Something here doesn't add up.
And (again) 1 more, a nice find by @PaulAtriedes2. Back in 2017 Danesco Trading was caught running a scam website for dog breeders.

The company is still active, it filed annual returns in Feb 2020. Anna Pravdenko is listed as the sole company officer
So, Dissident Signposts is a supposedly Irish based anti COVID-19 campaign, but it tracks back to Cyprus based business run by a Ukrainian woman that was caught running a dog breeding scam in 2017.

The more I look into this, the weird it gets...
