For my non-American CYB fam, if you were confused about the issue with yesterday's YouTube community tab post (because I don't expect non-Americans to know US history) let me try to explain.

1/
Imagine someone claiming that your country "needs to become a Christian theocracy because (your country) was founded by Christians, for Christians escaping religious persecution."

2/
Cultural "Christians" are trying to rewrite history to excuse their unbiblical dominionist beliefs.

Dominionism has Christians clamoring to make their countries theocracies, not to worship Jesus, but so that these "Christians" can create a two class system.

3/
Of course they just happen to be the ones in charge in their system and can justify genocide. This is totally unbiblical and not how Christians are called to share Jesus with unbelievers.

4/
We can't legislate people into becoming Christians. We have to share Jesus with the world and they get to choose if they want to accept Him or not. God does not force a relationship on anyone.

5/
Knowing your country's history helps combat these historically inaccurate justifications for Christian dominionism.

When someone makes these totally inaccurate claims about their country's history to justify mistreating unbelievers, all Christians lose credibility.

6/
If we can't be bothered to fact check the absurd and factually inaccurate claims that we make about our own country's history, why would an unbeliever trust our presentation of the gospel?

7/
Our goal is to do God's will on earth by preaching the gospel, not trying to make ourselves into gods who unbelievers must answer to or else.

8/
The fact that so many American "Christians" are legitimately wanting to cleanse the country of unbelievers is terrifying. This is how genocidal regimes like Nazi Germany are given power. Totally unbiblical.

Clergy doing a Nazi salute. Absolutely unacceptable.
