What bothers me the most is that coach had a desire to get Foles and play him over the guy who carried the offense to serviceable in 2018 only because he didn’t carry them the way Nagy wanted, within his clearly broken system. He then tried to force it on Mitch & team in 19
Same thing with Miller. I mean I had Miller as the 2nd best WR in the draft behind Courtland Sutton, I’ve been wrong before, but THIS wrong? I feel nagy absolutely ruined the fire that made Amil great. He refused to allow him to just play fast. You see Amil in return game?
Now you have a bunch of bears fans who dislike Trubisky & Miller despite seeing clear as day its their coach. Foles just completed the worst 6 game stretch of his career outside of MAYBE Jeff Fisher offense, and you’re still blaming Mitch for “being bad” w torn labrum in 19?
Go back and watch the Packers game towards end of season & tell me he was bad. Last game that offense felt they had a shot to win, and solely bc Mitch was making insane throws all game to keep them in it and STILL it was near impossible to score.
I’ll never forget after that game, the same crew that typically brainwashes our fan base w negativity bc it’s way easier to predict not winning it all then winning it said he maybe had “one throw that wasn’t first read”. There were like 15. The insanity it took to just say that

And I’ll say the same thing I said about Mitch last off-season, the bears are VERY unlikely to get a more productive GM than Matt Nagy, who by any statistical measure is adding more talent than most to the bears and truthfully the league. We will have 4 comp picks for a reason
We will get even more next year. That’s how good teams are made with consistency. If you look at coverage stats you will see guys like Callahan and Kwitkowski at the top of league w Fuller and Jaylon Johnson. You can’t keep them all, but consistently pace finds gems. GL replacing
Yes he missed on coach, yes he should have gone w Mahomes who would be less rich than he is today by a factor of a 100+ million most likely if he did, and yes he should have further solidified the o line. But the process on coach & QB were both good, o line he will attack TY
I think he’s had some clear boneheaded mistakes (trading up for RB, not solidifying o line and spending there). But he also has drafted, signed or traded for about 5 all pros on defense and Jaylon Johnson & Darnell Mooney look like absolute studs. Kmet is being held back. Tough
