The fact is that when the EHRC report was published, Jeremy Corbyn said claims of antisemitism had been "dramatically overstated for political reasons'.
That is what he said and he has not apologised for saying it.
But there are many other things he should apologise for:
1/7
Under Jeremy Corbyn's leadership, a party with a proud tradition of campaigning for equality and fighting racism was guilty of breaking the law in its treatment of Jewish people, the vast majority of whom believed the party was antisemitic.
Where is his apology for that?
2/7
Jeremy Corbyn has a long history of causing great offence to Jewish people.
He described Hamas & Hezbollah as friends, praised Raed Salah who promoted the antisemitic blood libel and invited him to tea in Parliament and defended Stephen Sizer who was accused of antisemitism.
3/7
Jeremy Corbyn laid a wreath at the graves of terrorists responsible for the Munich Olympic atrocity, defended a grotesque racist mural and accused Jewish people of not understanding English irony, as though they are not really English.
Will he apologise for all that?
4/7
Under his leadership, Jewish women MPs were chased out of the party, people who complained targeted and complaints brushed under the carpet.
The party’s culture was poisoned by racism, its processes corrupted to protect those responsible.
Where's his apology for all of that?
5/7
Keir Starmer is obviously a big improvement on Jeremy Corbyn. He was right to suspend him, but the progress he's made will be reversed if it is lifted because of this so-called "clarification".
Instead, the outstanding complaints against Corbyn must be properly investigated.
6/7
Jeremy Corbyn's suspension must be upheld and followed by a full investigation into the outstanding complaints about his leadership and behaviour beforehand.
Permanent exclusion will show Labour is finally getting a grip on this scandal.
