Practical vs Intellectual, Machiavellianism
Practical vs Intellectual, Machiavellianism
There are an infinite number of sources you could read to learn about psychology and cunning (machiavellianism, social skills).
The problem is that if you are a man on a quest for power you are going to be working 60+ hours a week.
You do NOT have thousands of hours to spend on reading and doing deep analysis of hundreds of sources.
You do NOT have thousands of hours to spend on reading and doing deep analysis of hundreds of sources.
As such, sources must be categorized into the 'Practical' and the 'Intellectual'.
Practical Sources: Will give information directly applicable to your life and situations you are likely to face.
Intellectual Sources: Will give information that is interesting, but unlikely to be directly applicable to the situations you will face.

Read 'Practical Sources' immediately so that you can operate effectively in the world.
Save 'Intellectual Sources' for your retirement; when you are an old man who has already conquered the world.

The work of Dennis is only relevant if you intend to get rich by becoming an entrepreneur.
If you have no intention of becoming an entrepreneur, give Dennis' writings a skip.
